About
ConsensIQ started with a frustration every facilitator knows. You have a room full of people with knowledge and ideas, and at the end of the day there is a vote. The biggest group wins and everyone else goes home feeling their view didn't matter.
Dagvoorzitter.nl, a Dutch agency of professional chairs and facilitators, wanted to change that. They teamed up with livewall in Tilburg, the makers of the interactive event software PresentersWall. Together they built a tool where people spread points instead of casting a single vote, and where nobody gets voted off.
The facilitators brought what they had learned on stage: which questions work, when to freeze a vote, how to keep a group with you. Livewall brought the technology and years of experience with large live events.
Today livewall runs ConsensIQ and keeps developing it. If you would like an experienced facilitator at your session, we arrange that with the people who helped create it.
That is the idea behind ConsensIQ. A group that weighs options together gets further than a group that just counts hands.
